Day & Night in Playa de las Américas

  Playa de las Américas is a totally opposite as for the atmosphere when compared to Playa Paraíso. It is famous as the party center of the island and you could say so even if you visit it in the beginning   of December.  This place never sleeps and you will never feel bored here. If you are not on the beach there are many shopping centers here,  some of them with designer shops but also and very cheap ones, so basically you can find shoes for example starting from 15 to 500 euro. And not just shoes, coming to a beach holyday you can also buy and a winter coat, which will never serve you hereJ

  Practically on every step you will see a hotel, bar, restaurant, or shop.  Actually this is and the purpose of Playa de las Américas, built round 40 years ago next to Los Cristianos, as a touristic place only.  A lot of the shops are located on the main street  Avenida de las Américas.  There are 6 beaches and most of them are not with volcanic sand but made with imported sand from Africa. Playa del Camisón is the most popular for surfing, but in general the beaches here are good for water sports of any kind. And if you are tired from the so called “touristic spirit” you could take a walk in Parque Central Las Américas, but do not expect that this will be a quiet walk, there are too many people with the same idea and it is a good place for sport  activities . Right in the centre of this resort is situated - Golf las Américas, maybe the most challenging on the island.

  In reference to the nightlife it is like a “tradition” here to start visiting Starco Commercial Centre, where are situated most of the popular bars and to continue with the clubs in Veronicas strip (which is a line-up of 4 shopping centres) where your attention is cached meters before, because of the neon lights. Well... what can I say traditions are not what they used to beJ Bar prices tend to be higher in these popular areas. Veronicas is preferred mainly from British tourists but I have to mention and another area - San Telmo which is above Playa Las Vistas (between Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos). This is also a lovely spot with many restaurants and bars. People that I spoke to recommended me Watermelon restaurant as one of the famous there.  The main problem in las Américas is to decide where to go and what to taste first so I am not going to mention the bars as they are hundreds, offering diverse musical mix, and there is one for any “party taste”.  This is also valid for the cuisine as here the choice is big enough to satisfy almost every appetite. One funny thing here is that you can see ”monkeys” everywhere well not literally, but one of the most popular clubs is called Monkey beach club (at Troya Beach), but there is also Monkey Bar & Grill, Monkey Oriental, Monkey Italian and I guess many other monkeysJ , Papagayo Beach Club (opposite Troya Beach ) is also one of the top party places for fans of the electronic music and life shows. Personally I have spent one Irish night here, first in an Irish pub called Hole in the Wall and then couple of hours  in The Dubliner bar under the Las Palmeras Hotel near the Patch in Playa de las Americas - nice bar with good atmosphere and good irish band (Dubliner band).

There is a really big choice of hotels for your vacation: Mare Nostrum hotel, Cleopatra Palace Hotel, La Siesta, Parque de la Paz, Lаs Pirámides, Sir Anthony, Parque Santiago, El Conquistador, El Vulcano, Columbus

    W porównaniu  do Playa Paraiso w Playa de las Américas atmosfera jest zupełnie odwrotna. Jest to miejsce popularne jako centrum imprezy na wyspie i można to powiedzieć, nawet jeśli jesteście w Tenerifie na początku grudnia. Nigdy nie będziecie się nudzic tutaj. Jeżeli nie jesteś na plaży, istnieje wiele centrów handlowych, gdzie można znaleźć na przykład buty w cenie od 15 do 500 euro. Jest naprawdę duży wybór  artykułów, i można kupić płaszcz zimowy – bardzo przydatny tutajJ

  Hotel, bar, restauracja  lub centrum handlowy widać tu na każdym kroku. Właściwie Playa de las Américas, zbudowano  40 lat temu w pobliżu Los Cristianos, jako nastepna strefa turystyczna. Wiele sklepów znajduje się przy głównej ulicy Avenida de las Américas. Jest tu  6 plaż, i większość z nich nie jest pokryta piaskiem wulkanicznym, ale piaskiem przywiezionym z Afryki. Playa del Camisón jest najpopularniejszą plażą do surfowania, ale w ogóle wszystkie plażesą dobre do uprawiania sportów wodnych wszelkiego rodzaju.  Jeżeli chodzi o sporty to Parque Central Las Américas jest dobre miejsce do uprawiania sportu jak jogging, tennis, a w  samym centrum tej miejscowości znajduje się  Golf Las Américas.

  Jak wygląda życie nocne w Playa de las Américas... istnieje "tradycja" najpierw odwiedzać bary w Starco centrum handlowym, gdzie są najbardziej popularne bary i potem kontynuować w  klubach w strefie Veronicas (okolica dyskotek, klubów i barów nocnych). Co  mogę powiedzieć...tradycje... J Veronicas jest popularną okolicą  wśród brytyjskich turystów ale muszę wspomnieć jeszcze San Telmo–znajduje się powyżej Playa Las Vistas (między Playa de las Américasa a Los Cristianos). Jest to również piękne miejsce z wieloma rodzajami restauracji i barów. Polecono mi Watermelon – jako jedna z najsłynniejszych restauracji. Głównym problemem w las Américas jest zdecydować gdzie najpierw pójść, więc nie zamierzam wymienić klubów dlatego że są naprawdę sporo i oferują różnorodną mieszankę stylówmuzycznych, dla każdego wyboru. Wśród popularnych klubów jest Monkey Beach Club (na plaży Troya), ale jest także Monkey Bar & Grill,  restauracje - Monkey Oriental, Monkey  Italian,  wiele malp ;) w koncu, Papagayo Beach Club (naprzeciwko plaży Troya)  to również jedno z najlepszych miejsc na imprezy dla fanów muzyki elektronicznej. Ja osobiście spędziłam jedną noc tutaj,  najpierw w irlandzkim pubie o nazwie Hole in the Wall, a następnie kilka godzin w barze The Dubliner pod the Las Palmeras Hotel  (w pobliżu Patch, Playa de las Américas)–ładny bar, oferuje przyjemną  atmosferę i  bardzo dobry irlandzki zespół (zespół Dubliner). 

 Istnieje bardzo duży wybór hotelów jak na przykład: Mare Nostrum hotel, Cleopatra Palace Hotel, La Siesta, Parque de la Paz, Lаs Pirámides, Sir Anthony, Parque Santiago, El Conquistador, El Vulcano, Columbus.

 

      Playa de las Américas е тотално различно място в сравнение с Playa Paraíso. Известно е като парти центърът на острова и може да се убедите в това дори и ако сте на почивка тук в началото на декември. Курортът никога не спи и тук трудно ще ви стане скучно. Ако не сте на плажа тук има много търговски центрове, някои от които предлагащи дизайнерски колекции, но има и места за пазаруване с много ниски цени, така че на практика може да си купите обувки не цени от 15 до 500 евро.  А и не само обувки, идвайки на почивка на плажа може също да си купите и зимно палто, което със сигурност няма да ви послужи тук 

   На практика на всяка стъпка тук ще видите хотел, бар, ресторант или търговски комплекс. Това всъщност е и целта на Playa de las Américas, изграден преди около 40 години до Los Cristianos, само като курортно място. Много от магазините се намират на главната улица, наречена Avenida de las Américas. Има 6 плажа като повечето изградени не с вулканичен, а с пясък докаран от Африка. Playa del Camisón е най-популярният сред сърфистите, но като цяло плажовете са подходящи за всички видове водни спортове. Ако сте уморени от така наречения „туристически дух”, може да се разходите из Parque Central Las Américas, но не очаквайте това да е тиха и спокойна разходка, има много хора със същата идея и всъщност мястото е по-подходящо за спортни дейности.  В сърцето на курорта е разположено и голямо голф игрище (Golf las Américas).

   Що се отнася до нощния живот, тук по ”традиция” се започва в Starco Commercial Centre, където са най-популярните барове и след това  се продължава с клубовете във Veronicas strip (поредица от 4 търговски центъра, където се намират клубовете) към които вниманието ви е привлечено доста отдалеч, заради силното неоново осветление. Какво да се прави...традициите не са това което бяха . Цените са по-високи в тези популярни места. Veronicas е предпочитано място от британските туристи, но бих искала да спомена и друго място - San Telmo, намищо се над Playa Las Vistas (между Playa de las Américas и Los Cristianos). Това е приятно място с много ресторанти и барове. Хората с които разговарях ми препоръчаха ресторант Watermelon като един от популярните тук. Най-големият ви проблем в las Américas всъщност е къде да отидете и какво да опитате първо. Няма да споменавам стотиците барове, предлагащи разнообразни музикални предложения, има буквално за всеки вкус, като същото се отнася и за предпочитанията ви към определена кухня. Забавен момент е, че можете да видите „маймуни” почти навсякъде е не, не буквално, просто един от най-популярните клубове се нарича  Monkey beach club (на Troya Beach), но има също и Monkey Bar & Grill, Monkey Oriental, Monkey Italian, а предполагам и още много „маймуни” . Papagayo Beach Club (срещу Troya Beach) е също сред топ местата за феновете на електронната музика. Лично аз прекарах една ирландска вечер тук, първо в един ирландски пъб наречен Hole in the Wall и след това в The Dubliner bar под  the Las Palmeras Hotel  в близост до the Patch в  Playa de las Americas – приятен бар с добра атмосфера и интересна ирландска група (Dubliner band).
